The Master of Arts in Theology offers rigorous academic training in theological research and scholarship. This degree will equip you with skills and knowledge to engage and deploy the resources of the Christian tradition in order to advance the practice of theology in the church, the academy, and contemporary society.
You will develop as a reader, researcher, writer, and thinker through critical and constructive engagement with the Christian tradition and contemporary scholarship.
Accordingly, the degree cultivates fair-minded, informed, and well-prepared students for academic work and ministry.
Program Highlights:
This 48-credit hour resident graduate program in ministry is designed to be completed in two years. It offers:
- Coursework can include Systematic Theology, Contemporary Religious Thought, Theological Explorations, and more.
- Intentional professor/student ratio to enable academic and pedagogical mentoring
- Abilene Christian University’s Graduate School of Theology is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada to award its master’s and doctoral degrees.
